Mission Advisory Council

The purpose of the Mission Advisory Council of Alvernia College is to:

The current composition of the Advisory Council includes the mission integration officer, 1 faculty member, and 3 staff personnel.

Mission Related Majors, Minors, Concentrations and Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Theology
Theology/Philosophy Major: 42 credit hours as prescribed
Theology Major: 30 credit hours as prescribed
Theology Minor: 18 credit hours as prescribed

Theology Requirement: 6 hours
Human Diversity Requirement: 3 hours

Human Service Credit Option
1 hour of academic credit per year by coordinating service with learning and integrating an ethic of service across the curriculum.

Human Services Requirement for Graduation - All candidates for the Bachelor of Arts Degree must complete 40 clock hours of approved community service. All candidates for the Associate of Arts Degree must complete 20 clock hours of community service. These expectations are coordinated by the Office of Community Service.
