About the Consortium

In 1993, Catholic colleges and universities located in or near the Archdiocese of Philadelphia began informal but regular meetings, to discuss how individual schools among the group expressed and supported institutional mission.  The organization met first at Cabrini College, then was hosted in turn by Gwynedd Mercy College, and Chestnut Hill College.  The Consortium is currently hosted by Villanova University.

The Collegiate Mission Consortium is indebted to the Office of University Information and Technologies at Villanova University for hosting our site, and to Joshua Matt, who designed its pages in collaboration with Chris Janosik at Villanova University, who remains responsible for developing and maintaining its contents.

Through it, the Collegiate Mission Consortium of Philadelphia encourages development of and participation in mission related activities, and makes available an extensive array of resources dedicated to strengthening both the Catholic identity and institutional mission of Catholic higher education.
